Genius Hotel Perk: Custom Wedding Gowns at the St. Regis Bora Bora
Getting a long, white dress past security, onto a plane, through customs, and into your hotel room without risking rips, stains, and other trauma is a headache specific to destination weddings. But with the opening of an on-site bridal boutique at the St. Regis Bora Bora later this month, a bride can toss a couple of bikinis in her bag, grab her fiance, and still have the storybook ceremony complete with gorgeous gown.

The resort has partnered with Cecilie Melli, a Norwegian fashion designer acclaimed for her feminine, finely detailed frocks, to offer brides a collection of original wedding gowns available for rental on the property. Prices for rentals start at $550, though if you insist on a lifelong memento, the resort will have one sewn just for you.

Home to what may be the travel world’s most full-service bridal boutique, the St. Regis Bora Bora can also outfit the groom, arrange duds for bridesmaids and parents, book a hairstylist and makeup artist, set up your wedding portrait, and then get the photos in an album—not to mention organize your arrival by outrigger, your ceremony on the beach, and your reception dinner from chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. There’s a dedicated Romance Butler who attends to all things wedding.
In fact, the resort makes the whole deal so easy (they’ll even take care of the legal red tape), your biggest struggle will be deciding where to hang the tapa cloth marriage certificate.
